KMIC is set to launch the "Student Fellowship Program"

“Knowledge Management is a strategic, business discipline for managing the cultural conditions necessary to ensure the effective capture, transfer and translation of knowledge from those who “know” to those who “need to know” in support of business and goals, objectives and outcomes” (B. Melnick, 2012)

To cultivate the next generation of innovators and knowledge management professionals in Canada, the Knowledge Management Institute of Canada is set to launch their fellowship program. Each season, a group of talented, [hard working] students will be given the opportunity to participate in the KMIC Fellowship Program, and to engage with world renowned leaders, creators & professionals across many fields and disciplines. KMIC’s past clients include the likes of KPMG. McKinsey, the United Nations, Bell Canada, Saudi Aramco, FirstBank of Nigeria and the Toronto Dominion Bank.

As Canada’s leading knowledge management hub, KMIC works with the world’s leading researchers and professionals. We help people and organizations change their organizational structures in support of realities of the emerging knowledge economy, provide support for continuous learning and innovation and help them identify and address new challenges.

Every season, KMIC offers four knowledge management certification programs to leaders and professionals in the field that will help them further advance knowledge management across their organizations. As a KMIC Student Fellow, you will have the chance to take this course at no charge. You will learn what knowledge management is and isn’t, get to know state of the art knowledge management processes and solutions and engage with top industry leaders and innovators. As a student hoping to begin your career in related disciplines, KMIC is an ideal place to start. You will help create & maintain an internationally recognized knowledge network that will work to solve some of the most critical questions facing organizations and society today.

According to Blake Melnick, KMIC's President and CKO, "This is really exciting for me personally and a great opportunity for students across the country to engage in meaningful dialogue with business leaders and KM practitioners from a variety of sectors. I firmly believe young people will bring a lot of great ideas and insights to the table"
