Brian is a Chartered Accountant, CPA, and a tax lawyer R. He holds a B.Sc.-Honours in Zoology; an MBA with a major in Finance from McGill University and an LLB with a specialization in taxation from UWO.

Brian was a tax partner with the National Accounting firm of Grant Thornton LLP, leading the firm’s Ontario Business Unit’s Scientific Research & Experimental Development (“SR&ED”) claims unit for the past eight years. Brian was also the author of SR ED chapter 9 of Practitioner’s Guide to Ontario Corporate Tax (2009 Edition).

Brian is a member of the OICA; Law Society of Upper Canada; and the Canadian Tax Foundation.
