Amita Patkar - A seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience leading people and managing projects across the public and private sectors. For over 7 years, Amita leveraged her depth of experience in the engineering sector in the role of Director, for a Canadian-based aerospace company, delivering simulation-based training devices to domestic and foreign military customers, including the Canadian Air Force and the US Navy. Transitioning from her work in the private sector, Amita has applied her customer-focused approach to the public sector; leading commercial transactions on behalf of the provincial government that combine public and private partnerships to deliver unique programs and services for the broader public good. In her current role as Senior Manager, she has managed a variety of transactions from mining development to transportation infrastructure expansion and more recently, the delivery of new affordable housing across the province of Ontario.Amita holds a Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering from Ryerson University, Toronto and a Masters of Science degree in Applied Statistics from Sheffield University, England, UK.
