Terry Power is a professor of strategic and advanced international studies. He is a published columnist and has had published a number of well adopted texts. Power sits on a number of national boards including The Knowledge Management Institute of Canada (KMIC); the Comprehensive Security Studies Group (CSSG) and The Academic Board of the Institute of Strategic and International Studies. He frequently undertakes consulting assignments for the public and private sectors and has been the keynote speaker at several national conferences.
Power is a Wharton Fellow in the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania. In 2008 he was invited to join the Oxford Round Table, Harris Manchester College, Oxford University. He is also an associate of the Round Table Group, an expert services firm headquartered in Washington D.C. The consulting group has been named on Inc. Magazine's prestigious list of the fastest growing U.S. private companies four times.
Power holds a DBA in International and Strategic Management from Asia Pacific International University (California). He has a LLB from Dalhousie Law School and MPA from Dalhousie University. He also has a MBA from Asia Pacific University (New Zealand) and an Advanced Diploma in International Management and Marketing from Asia Pacific International University (New Zealand). Power is an inductee in the Order of St. John (Officer Grade), and was awarded a Special Services Medal (European, Middle East Theaters) and a Canada Forces Defence Decoration and Clasp.
